Microneedling can create beautiful results.
And that’s exactly why I believe it deserves more than superficial training.
Microneedling is not simply about moving a pen across the skin. It creates a controlled micro-injury that initiates a biological response involving inflammation, repair, and remodeling.
That means your results depend on more than:
the device you’re holding
the depth displayed on the screen
the number of passes in a protocol
They are also influenced by the condition of the skin, anatomy, treatment intensity, technique, healing capacity, pigmentation risk, and what happens after the treatment.
The device starts the process.
The skin creates the response.
You may already know how to perform microneedling.
You learned the basic protocol. You know how to prepare your device. You have a depth chart. You know how many passes are commonly recommended.
But then a real client sits in front of you. And suddenly the questions become more complicated.
Is this skin actually ready for treatment?
Should I use the same depth on every client?
How much pressure should I apply?
Do I need pinpoint bleeding?
How much inflammation is enough?
Should I make another pass?
How should I adapt my treatment for thinner areas?
What if the client is prone to pigmentation?
Why did this client respond differently than the last one?
Those questions cannot be answered by a depth chart alone.
They require an understanding of the skin.
From “What depth should I use?”
to “What does this skin need?”
Microneedling PRO teaches you how to connect the different pieces of the treatment instead of looking at them in isolation.
You’ll learn to consider:
Before treatment
barrier condition
inflammation
recent UV exposure
medications
skincare
pigmentation risk
healing history
expectations
candidate suitability
During treatment
anatomy
indication
skin thickness
pressure
skin tension
movement
passes
depth
treatment intensity
endpoints
After treatment
inflammatory response
barrier recovery
appropriate post-care
treatment intervals
long-term treatment planning
Assessment first. Depth second.
THE COMPLETE PROGRAM
Microneedling PRO
Science-based microneedling education built around understanding — not memorization.
Microneedling PRO is designed to take you beyond generic protocols and help you understand why you make each treatment decision.
skin biology + wound healing + anatomy + candidate assessment + technique + treatment planning
Throughout the program, we connect those pieces so the treatment starts to make sense as a whole.
My goal is not for you to leave the course with one more protocol.
My goal is for you to understand microneedling well enough to think through the treatment yourself.
Less guessing. More understanding.
By the end of Microneedling PRO, you’ll have a stronger framework for making treatment decisions.
You’ll understand how to:
assess whether the skin is ready for microneedling
recognize factors that may require you to modify or postpone treatment
understand the wound-healing response behind microneedling
select depth with anatomy and indication in mind
adapt your approach across different facial areas
understand how pressure and skin tension influence treatment
recognize when more trauma is not necessarily better
evaluate treatment endpoints more intentionally
approach acne scars more strategically
consider pigmentation and PIH risk
understand the role of ingredients used with microneedling
plan treatment intervals based on healing
connect all of these variables when a real client is sitting in front of you
The goal is not more rules.
The goal is better reasoning.
INSIDE THE PROGRAM
What You’ll Learn
MODULE 1
The Science of Microneedling
Start with what actually happens inside the skin.
controlled micro-injury
inflammation
the proliferative phase
repair
extracellular matrix changes
collagen remodeling
how the biological response develops after treatment
Microneedling does not create results simply because needles entered the skin. The treatment creates a stimulus. The skin creates the response.
MODULE 2
Devices & Needles
Understand the role of the microneedling device without making the brand of your pen the center of the treatment.
how microneedling pens work
cartridges
needle configurations
needle quality
device speed
penetration
practical differences between devices
You’ll also learn why device settings alone do not tell you exactly what is happening in the skin.
MODULE 3
Microneedling Technique
Technique matters.
hand pressure
skin tension
treatment movements
horizontal, vertical, and diagonal passes
stamping
treatment overlap
treatment zones
facial anatomy
depth adjustments
treatment endpoints
Because 1.0 mm on the screen does not automatically mean 1.0 mm in the tissue.
MODULE 4
Pre-Care, Post-Care & Contraindications
A good treatment begins before you pick up your device.
barrier readiness
inflammation
active skin conditions
recent UV exposure
medications
current skincare
healing concerns
infection risk
pigmentation risk
You’ll also learn how to support the skin before and after treatment without overwhelming the recovery process.
MODULE 5
Ingredients & Microneedling
What should you apply during and around a microneedling treatment?
hyaluronic acid
peptides
growth-factor-related products
tranexamic acid
vitamin C
niacinamide
other actives
This is not simply a list of recommended products. You’ll learn to ask: What are we applying? Why are we applying it? And does it make sense for freshly treated skin?
MODULE 6
Microneedling for Skin Rejuvenation
Understand how microneedling may support rejuvenation and collagen remodeling.
age-related skin changes
skin thickness
treatment area
anatomy
treatment intensity
depth
treatment intervals
realistic outcomes
Effective treatment does not require maximum trauma.
MODULE 7
Microneedling for Atrophic Acne Scars
Acne scars are not all the same. Scar morphology should influence your treatment strategy.
rolling scars
boxcar scars
ice-pick scars
scar depth
tissue characteristics
treatment planning
realistic expectations
limitations of microneedling
“Acne scars = one depth” is not a treatment strategy.
MODULE 8
Microneedling & Hyperpigmentation
Pigmentation requires careful treatment reasoning.
inflammation
melanocyte activity
skin phototype
PIH risk
UV exposure
treatment intensity
post-treatment inflammation
The goal is not to be afraid of pigment-prone skin. The goal is to understand it.
MODULE 9
Microneedling & Hair Loss
Explore the biological rationale and available evidence behind microneedling for selected hair-loss indications.
You’ll learn where microneedling may fit, what the proposed mechanisms are, and where the limitations of the evidence remain.
MODULE 10
Other Microneedling Indications
Microneedling is marketed for many different concerns.
biological plausibility
scientific evidence
clinical practice
marketing claims
You’ll learn how to distinguish between those four very different things.
MODULE 11
Clinical Decision-Making
This is where everything comes together.
Who is the client?
What is the indication?
What condition is the skin in today?
What are the relevant risk factors?
What response am I trying to create?
How much treatment intensity actually makes sense?
What should I modify?
When should I postpone?
This module is about learning how to think through the treatment.

This is not device-company training.
I use different microneedling pens in my own practice. I do not sell you a microneedling device. I do not need you to believe that one particular brand is the secret to better results.
Because while the quality of your device and needles matters, the outcome of a treatment is influenced by much more.
candidate selection
skin condition
anatomy
needle quality
depth
pressure
skin tension
movement
number of passes
treatment intensity
endpoints
aftercare
individual healing
The device is a tool.
It should not replace your understanding of the skin.
Biology first. Protocol second.
Protocols are useful. I use them too.
But a protocol should give you structure — not replace your professional thinking.
Because the same treatment may not be appropriate for every skin type, treatment area, indication, client, or appointment.
Microneedling PRO teaches you the principles behind the protocol.
So when the client in front of you does not perfectly match the textbook example, you have a framework for deciding what to do next.
Microneedling PRO is for you if…
You’re a licensed esthetician and:
you perform microneedling but still second-guess some treatment decisions
you want to understand the science behind the procedure
you’ve received device training but feel something is still missing
you’re tired of conflicting depth charts
you want stronger client assessment skills
you want to better understand acne scars and pigmentation
you want to understand why technique matters
you want to move beyond “more trauma = better results”
you value independent education
you’re preparing to add microneedling to your practice and want a stronger foundation
This course may not be for you if…
You’re looking only for:
a one-page depth chart
one universal protocol
device certification
training focused primarily on a specific pen
a shortcut that tells you exactly what to do without explaining why
This course is for estheticians who want to understand the treatment — not just copy it.

MEET YOUR EDUCATOR
Hi, I’m Monika Sadar, PhD.
I’m an esthetician and educator based in Slovenia, Europe. Before creating Skinstetika Academy, I spent years working in aesthetics and teaching cosmetic subjects.
What I eventually realized was that following a technically correct protocol did not always mean it was the right treatment for the skin in front of me.
So I started asking more questions.
Why does one client respond beautifully while another develops prolonged inflammation?
How much injury do we actually need to create?
How should barrier condition change our treatment?
Those questions changed the way I practice microneedling – and eventually, they changed the way I teach it.
Today, my approach to microneedling is simple:
Biology first. Protocol second.
Science should be useful in the treatment room.
My professional background combines aesthetics, education, and academic research.
Esthetician
Educator
Former teacher of cosmetic subjects
PhD
Founder, Skinstetika Academy
My doctorate does not make me a medical doctor.
It did, however, strengthen something that is central to the way I teach:
how to question information, evaluate evidence, and look beyond marketing claims.
I don’t want to make microneedling unnecessarily academic. I want to make the science understandable enough to actually use.
I don’t teach this because I think microneedling is something estheticians should fear.
I teach it because I believe it is worth understanding.
Microneedling is one of the aesthetic treatments I genuinely love. It can produce beautiful results. It has real biological effects. And we have a growing body of research supporting its use for multiple aesthetic indications.
A treatment this valuable deserves thoughtful education.
The more you understand it, the less you need to rely on guesswork.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Microneedling PRO completely online?
Yes. Microneedling PRO is a fully online educational program.
Is the course self-paced?
Yes. You can work through the modules at your own pace and return to the material during your access period.
Who is Microneedling PRO designed for?
The program is designed primarily for licensed estheticians who want a deeper, science-based understanding of microneedling.
Do I need to be experienced with microneedling?
No. The course begins with the foundational science and builds from there. It can be useful both for estheticians preparing to introduce microneedling and for practitioners who already perform treatments but want stronger clinical reasoning.
Do I need a specific microneedling device?
No. Microneedling PRO is intentionally device-independent. The course focuses on principles that go beyond one particular brand.
Will you teach treatment depths?
Yes. Depth is an important part of the program. But you will not receive one universal chart and be told to use it blindly. You’ll learn how anatomy, indication, skin characteristics, treatment area, and treatment goals influence depth selection.
Does deeper microneedling create better results?
Not automatically. The appropriate depth depends on what tissue you are trying to influence and the treatment goal. More trauma does not automatically equal a better biological response.
Does the course cover acne scars?
Yes. There is a dedicated module on atrophic acne scars, including scar morphology, treatment planning, realistic outcomes, and where microneedling may or may not be the appropriate treatment.
Does the course cover hyperpigmentation?
Yes. You’ll learn about inflammation, pigment response, PIH risk, phototype, and how these factors can influence treatment decisions.
Does the course cover hair loss?
Yes. There is a dedicated module exploring the biological rationale, evidence, and practical considerations around selected hair-loss indications.
Does the course teach RF microneedling?
The primary focus of Microneedling PRO is traditional mechanical microneedling. RF microneedling uses additional energy and requires separate treatment considerations.
Is this a device certification?
No. Microneedling PRO is independent professional education. It is not certification for a specific microneedling device.
Does completing this course mean I can legally perform microneedling?
No. Scope-of-practice regulations vary by state and jurisdiction. You are responsible for confirming the regulations, supervision requirements, permitted treatment depths, and professional requirements that apply where you practice.
Can I take the course if I live outside the United States?
Yes. The program is available online. The biology of the skin is universal, but professional regulations are not, so you must always follow the requirements that apply in your own location.
Are you a medical doctor?
No. I hold a PhD. I am an esthetician and educator, not a medical doctor.
English isn’t your first language — is the course taught in English?
Yes. The U.S. version of Microneedling PRO is taught entirely in English. English is not my first language, so you will hear my European accent — but the course materials and terminology are designed for an English-speaking professional audience.
You already know how to hold the pen.
Now understand what happens after the needles enter the skin.
Understand the injury.
Understand the inflammation.
Understand the healing.
Understand the anatomy.
Understand the indication.
Understand the client.
Because great microneedling isn’t about reproducing the same protocol on every face.
It’s about knowing why you’re doing what you’re doing.
